REQUIREMENTSEstablished in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the
leading UN agency in the field of migration, works closely with governmental,
intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane
and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to
governments and migrants.
Context:
Working under the direct supervision of the head of IOM Kazakhstan Protection unit the
selected candidate will assist with the case management of the Mission.
Duties and responsibilities would include:
1. Assist the NPO with case management, developing assistance plans, processing
payments, tracking progress, and executing case closures and case monitoring.
2. Provide timely and accurate information to beneficiaries.
3. Track and record case information, completing forms in IOM’s systems.
4. Prepare and submit monthly reports as required and incorporating clients’ feedback in
a timely manner, including information related to grants provided, follow up visits,
referrals to other service providers and awareness activities conducted etc., as
provided.
5. Assist the NPO with other programmatic activities of Protection unit.
6. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

DUTIESUniversity degree in International Relations, Law or other relevant Social Sciences
from an accredited academic institution.
• Excellent research, writing, communication and analytical skills.
• Solid understanding and interest in migration, development and/or humanitarian
issues.
• Proven ability to produce quality work accurately and consistently according to set
deadlines.
Languages:
Fluency in English and Russian is required (oral and written).
Working knowledge of Kazakh is an advantage.
