The mission of the Registrar’s Office is
to foster student
academic progress by
ensuring the proper maintenance
of academic records
beginning with the students’ first
contact with KIMEP
through to graduation and thereafter.
The purpose of the
Registrar’s Office is to provide
effective
registration and record-keeping services, to provide
accurate academic
information to students, faculty,
and staff, to
monitor academic policies and procedures, to
maintain accurate,
permanent, and confidential student
records, and to
provide certified documentation of academic
records where
necessary.

Registration Rules
Each
semester, a student must register for all courses and retakes through the on-line registration system.
To
be able to register for this semester's courses, student shall:
1.
Fulfill the prerequisites for a course
2.
Clear debt for the previous semesters
3.
Pay for the current semester 1/3 of tuition
payment and Student Activity Fee (undergraduate programs only)
4.
Submit X-Ray to the Medical
Clinic Department annually
All changes in student
registrations can be accepted during the above mentioned registration periods.
Consult a current Academic
Calendar for all changes.
The
maximum number of credits (and/or credits equivalents) for both graduate
and undergraduate students in fall and spring semesters is 18 (eighteen).The limit includes
retakes and zero credit courses.
Any undergraduate student on academic
probation may register for up
to 12 credit equivalents. A graduate student on academic probation may register for up to 9 credit
equivalents. This number includes retakes.
Summer
semester
The
maximum number of credits (and/or credit equivalents) that a student may take
in a first summer semester is 6 (six) credits. The limit for a second summer
semester is 3 (three) credit equivalents. The limits include retakes and zero
credit courses. Students on Academic Probation are limited to 6 (six) credit
equivalents in first summer semester.
A student may repeat a
course for which s/he has a failing grade but such a repetition may not occur
more than two times.
Students will be allowed
two retakes. A third retake will only be allowed subject to the discretion of
the College Dean
Note:
Students cannot retake courses in order to receive financial aid.
