The course focuses on the law in rem, liability law, regulation, the results of creative activity (intellectual property), and the law of succession. Civil law Special part as a subject matter reflects the major scientific achievements in the field of civil law as a branch, but it does so with the amount of time allotted curriculum.
By reading primary authorities such as the Code, statutes and resolutions of the Supreme Court, and secondary authorities such as cases, and related materials, students will learn the legal principles of all civil relationship.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
1 Knowledge outcomes
• Distinguish legal norms applied to different types of contractual obligations
• Identify the rights and responsibilities of parties of various contractual obligations
• Describe the process of formation of a civil law contract and significant conditions of each of the types of contracts
• Define and outline the main standpoints of civil regulation of inheritance law, intellectual property law and international private law
2 Skills outcomes
• Resolve related civil law cases
• Give a competent legal opinion on related civil law cases
• Draft any of the typical contracts (sale of goods, barter, lease etc.)
