REPORTS TO: Regional Programs Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY: The Program Assistant will work closely with the Regional Coordinator to support
the implementation of the USAID-funded Safe Migration in Central Asia Project on regional level and
Tajikistan community in Kazakhstan project’s activities. The goal of the project is to strengthen the mutual
accountability of all stakeholders to become more self-reliant in efforts to prevent trafficking in persons
(TIP), protect survivors, and promote safe migration in Central Asia.

University degree (Associate or higher) or equivalent experience
Two years of experience in program support with the development organizations strongly
Fluency in Russian and working level competency in English language required.
Knowledge of the issues related to migration or counter trafficking in persons preferred
Experience with data entry is a plus
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under high pressure, and attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook applications
Ability to maintain the highest ethical standards at all times
DUTIES Assist implementation of regional and Tajikistan community in Kazakhstan level activities,
including logistics, procurement, and administrative assistance
Assist Regional Coordinator in communication with stakeholders, documentation of activities, and
project planning
Assist Regional Coordinator in preparing narrative reports
Assist, as appropriate, in capacity building of partners and grantees
Assist in maintaining the filing system of program documents
Assist in maintaining the system for recording of official correspondence
If requested, assist MEL Manager and grant officers in their activities
Assist to input data in various databases, such as Regional SMICA MIS database, regional
and Tajikistan community in Kazakhstan monitoring and evaluation for grantees, consultancy
and vendors, act as a reviewer of SMICA MIS data filled in by grantees
Assist to coordinate and collect monthly plans and reports from sub-awardees
Other duties as assigned
