REQUIREMENTS | If you want to join a great team and work with leading international and Kazakhstani business executives to strengthen Kazakhstan’s investment attractiveness, help businesses thrive, and connect people from a wide range of organizations, then read on. Important dates: Fall internships are September 22 th to December 5 th , with an application deadline of Aug. 25, 9:00 am. Spring internships are January 19 th to April 30 th , with an application deadline of November 17 th . The deadline for summer internships is March 30 th , with the internship period varying. All internships can be extended to the following period, based on mutual agreement. Interns must be 3 rd or 4 th year bachelor’s, master’s students or have graduated within 6 months, with courses relevant to the assignment (business, communications, political science, international relations, finance or accounting.) English and Russian and/or Kazakh are required. |
SALARY | They are unpaid, but AmCham will work with interns to help get course credit, or if available, external financial support. |
DUTIES | Each internship includes a main project, to be agreed on with your supervisor. Past projects included a handbook on U.S. assistance programs available to members and preparing briefs on policy issues Interns will also help with events, maintaining the client-relationship management system and other administrative tasks Current needs include: Communications: Media monitoring Website moderation Support with AmCham’s annual publication Social media support Proofreading and translation Coordination of webinars Events: Identifying venues Coordinating with vendors Staffing the events (includes evening hours) Government relations: Coordinating working groups Taking minutes Preparing briefs for managers prior to meetings Finance (only for Spring): Apprenticing with our chief accountant The benefits 1.
