REQUIREMENTSGENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least 18 years old and must be enrolled not less than half-time in a higher education institution or other accredited undergraduate educational institution.
Must have a good academic standing and permission to participate in the program from the
educational institution.
Should have Level III (good working knowledge) of English and Level III (good working knowledge) of Kazakh and/or Russian.
Should have skills in written and oral communication, office software (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), professional research and written analysis.
Should be able to take initiative and complete assigned tasks with accuracy and little supervision.
If selected, the candidate must be able to obtain a security clearance.

Preference will be given to students in Business Studies, Economics, Management, and Marketing.

DUTIESCollecting and analyzing information for use in market research reports for in-depth analysis of the Kazakhstan market for a specific product sector.
• Identify Kazakhstan agents and distributors for U.S. exporters and create a contact database.
• Assisting during business matchmaking services and U.S. companies’ visits.
• Input of data into our internal commercial database.
• Assisting our staff in the preparation of trade events and trade missions.
• Support the organization of seminars and conferences.
• Assisting in visits of partner U.S. Government Agencies’ visitors.
• Assist in the preparation of short, topical industry reports covering Kazakhstan market, which are of interest to U.S. exporters.
• Respond to incoming business inquiry correspondence from both U.S. and Kazakhstan firms.
• Respond to incoming telephone calls.
• Assist with trade and other events taking place during the internship.
• Assist with day-to-day office tasks.
