Haileybury Almaty International School is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Kazakh Language Teacher for the Primary School on a temporary contract. Please note: If your English language proficiency is below B1 level (i.e., you are unable to communicate confidently in everyday situations and speak English fluently), please do not apply for this vacancy. Key Responsibilities Teaching and Learning Develop effective learning materials appropriate to the age and ability levels of primary school students. Use a variety of teaching methods and approaches in the classroom. Plan, implement, and continuously evaluate teaching strategies and activities to maximize student learning. Ensure effective differentiation through planning activities for the whole class, groups, and individual students. Design tasks that promote both independent and collaborative learning. Provide opportunities for peer assessment and self-assessment. Maintain effective classroom discipline and make efficient use of resources. Set clear learning objectives and use instructional time effectively. Employ a variety of teaching strategies to ensure high levels of student engagement. Set high expectations for student achievement. Identify and effectively support high-achieving students, students with special educational needs, gifted and talented students, and students with limited English proficiency. Plan lessons taking into account pace of learning and complexity of topics. Contribute to students’ personal, psychological, social, and cultural development through assemblies, House Days, and other school activities. Encourage students to develop and demonstrate leadership skills. Create a safe, supportive, comfortable, and stimulating learning environment. Monitoring, Assessment, Recording and Reporting Assess the achievement of learning objectives and use assessment results to improve teaching and learning. Monitor student progress through constructive feedback and target setting to ensure high achievement. Regularly assess and record each student's progress and use collected data to support continuous improvement. Prepare written reports on student achievement and progress. Assessment should inform lesson planning and support student learning. |
| DUTIES | Requirements Qualifications Degree in Kazakh Language Teaching or a related field. Native or advanced proficiency in the Kazakh language. English language proficiency certificate (preferably IELTS 6.0 or equivalent) will be an advantage. Postgraduate qualification will be considered an advantage. Experience Extensive teaching experience. Experience contributing to improvements in teaching and learning standards. Experience teaching primary school students. Experience teaching both primary and secondary school students is desirable. Proven success in teaching and educational work. Benefits Free meals.
