Hugo Gaggiotti, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Management and Dean of Bang College of Business. He is from the University of Barcelona and DEA in Management Sciences from ESADE Business School. He served as Associate Professor at the Polithecnical University of Catalonia and as Visiting Research and Visiting Professor at the School of Business of Manchester Metropolitan University, the Gothenburg Research Institute and Paris VII and X University. Dr. Gaggiotti’s areas of teaching and research include Organizational Behavior, Corporate Culture, International Business and International Human Resources. He can be reached at gaggiotti@kimep.kz.


Subhash C Mehta, Ph.D. is a Professor of Marketing at Bang College of Business and Editor of Asian Journal of Marketing. He has been a Professor in the following universities: National University of Singapore, Indian Institute of Management, University of Stirling, University of North Texas, University of Southern Queensland, University of Mauritius, and University of Southern Maine. He has published two Books and over 50 papers in top rated International Journals such as European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Services Marketing, Journal of Professional Services Marketing, Journal of Financial Services, Int. Journal of Retail & Distribution Management, Journal of Int. Consumer Marketing, Industrial Marketing Management, The Marketing Management Journal, Int. Journal of Technology Management, and Journal of Applied Bus. Research. Professor Mehta served on many top-level Govt. Committees and Commissions, Corporate Boards, and world organizations such as FAO, World Bank, UN Bodies, and US AID. He was twice invited as Faculty for Common Wealth Secretariat for their Chief Executive Management Development Program for Public Enterprises in Africa and Asia. Dr. Mohammad Naghi Shahidi, holds Ph.D. in Management and Strategic Management, received from Rennes University in France. Now Dr. Shahidi is Chair of Management and Marketing Department. He received Master of Business Administration from Rennes University, in France and B. Sc Economics from Tehran University. He has taught at universities for many years including: McMaster, Dalhousie, Tehran, and Sorbonne. He has published several articles and books. He is member of MA, MOTA. His research is focus on re-engineering strategic management, high tech road mapping, and management of technology. He gained consulting experiences with many companies including: MATN, SABCO, COGIFER. He supervised more then 50 PhD dissertations and Master theses. He can be reached at shahidi@kimep.kz.

Dr John Wright is an Assistant Professor in the Management and Marketing Department of the Bang College of Business. Dr. Wright is an attorney and teaches Business Law classes for undergraduate and MBA students. He earned his Juris Doctor (J.D) degree in law from the University of Mississippi. His M.B.A. was earned from the University of Houston, as was his post-graduate degree in law, the LL.M., with a specialization in taxation. Dr. Wright is a practicing attorney and was a former attorney for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. His research interests include taxation modernization and harmonization in the countries of the former Soviet Union. He can be reached at jwright@kimep.kz

 

Mahiuddin Ahmed is a Professor in the Department of Operations Management and Information System, Bang College of Business. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Dublin City University, Ireland. Dr. Ahmed was a Commonwealth Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Bath, UK and a Visiting Scholar in University of Alberta, Canada. Dr. Ahmed has been teaching at the tertiary level for the last 20 years – the last 5 years as Professor. He worked for six years in industry before starting his academic career. He was Head of the Department of Industrial and Production Engineering of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. His teaching interests are in the areas of production and operations management, technology management, contract management, business system analysis, and business information systems. Dr. Ahmed supervised number of postgraduate research projects including co-supervision of one Ph.D. research project. He has published widely in the areas of engineering and management. Shamsuddin Ahmed, Ph.D. is a Professor of Operations Management and Information Systems at Bang College of Business. He acquired postgraduate educations from Canada and Australia and has worked as a manager in manufacturing and service industries. Dr Ahmed has published extensively in prominent journals and serves on the editorial review boards of the Journal of Management Information Systems, Issues of Information Systems, WSEAS Transactions of Systems. His research interests include Business Simulation, Services Industry Management, Operations Strategy, Business Forecasting and Neural Network Applications in Business. Swapan Kumar Majumdar, Ph.D. is a Professor of Operations Management and Information Science and Chair of OMIS Department at Bang College of Business. He worked as top researcher, head of IT divisions, top engineer and consultant in large corporations in Kolkata, Delhi, and Calcutta. He also headed IT and MIS departments of various universities including Al Akhawayn University in Morocco, Management Development Institute in Gurgaon, Institute for Integrated Learning in Management in Delhi and Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Calcutta. Dr. Majumdar authored numerous articles and presentations that appeared in academic and professional Journals and chapters in textbooks. Some of these are Advances in Management Research, Towards Digital Business Ecosystems, Global Journal of Flexible Systems Management, The Chartered Accountant, Vision: The Journal of Business Perspective among others. Dr. Majumdar has a Ph.D. in eBusiness Management from Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi. He can be reached at majumdar@kimep.kz

Vassiliy Voinov, Ph.D. is a Chair of Operations Management and Information Systems department. He received his engineer diploma in Tomsk State University; Candidate of Science degree in Kazakh Academy of Science; Doctor of Science degree in Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna, Moscow region; Professor degree in Kazakh State Polytechnic University, and also recently received Professor's degree in KIMEP. He has professional experience as invited professor in statistics at the University Victor Segalen Bordeaux, France. Vassiliy Voinov participated in many international conferences and has more than 120 research papers and books.


M. Mujibul Haque PhD holds a MBA in Marketing from University of Dhaka in Bangladesh and a MS and a PhD in Finance from Texas Tech University in the United States. His doctoral dissertation focused on the issue of interest rate risk management using Eurodollar futures contracts. He has participated in various conferences on financial analysis and planning, financial markets and institutions, investments and international finance. His research work focuses on theory and practice of financial management, with particular reference to financing and investment decisions and development of efficient financial markets and institutions. John D. Russell, Ph.D., CGA, CMA is KPMG Professor of Accounting and Chair of Accounting Department. Dr. Russell received his Ph.D. from the Pennsylvania State University, Masters in Administration from City University London and B.Sc Economics from University College London. He has taught at universities for many years in several countries including the Canada, Hong Kong, Britain and the USA. His research is informed by the interpretive paradigm and draws on symbolic interactionism from the work of Herbert Blumer.  He is currently engaged in qualitative research into work experience, perceived dimensions of success and work place ethics of male and female accountants.
