Conference Theme: “Changing Society Through Research and Practice”

I am pleased to submit the Conference Final Report on the Fifth Annual KIMEP International Research Conference.

The Conference theme was "Changing Society Through Research and Practice" and it was held on October 6-8, 2005. This multi-disciplinary conference was dedicated to promote research through exchange of knowledge and ideas within the fields of Business, Management, Economics, Public Administration, Political Science and Journalism. There were sixteen (16) sessions as follows:

Round table: 1

Total: 16

There were more than two hundred and eighty participants including students, and, a total of eighty (80) registered delegates from eleven countries.

Sixty-nine (69) papers were submitted as part of the Conference and many of these will go forward for publication in a special refereed journal of conference proceedings. These papers will highlight business throughout Central Asia.

In total sixty (60) presentations were made including presentations by key speakers, presentations in strategic urban management and numerous papers on business.

In addition, we were pleased to host participants from the following universities:

As Conference Chair, I would llike to to acknowledge and thank the entire organizing team and paarticipants for their efforts.
