Department of Finance

The department offers B.Sc. and MBA degrees with major in Finance and minors in other allied fields. The discipline of finance in business education has undergone major changes over the last two-three decades. The main focus of finance function has shifted to managing risk, as opposed to managing investment and financing. Fundamentally linked to this shift have been the profound changes taking place in the world's financial landscape. The deregulation of financial markets, integration of capital markets and rapid advances in information technology have all led to the proliferation of new financial instruments and institutions. The Finance major provides students with the solid theoretical and practical knowledge to succeed in the dynamic and fascinating world of finance.
